“We will remain on the lookout.” The party responds to the Israeli allegations
Fady Mahouly
Hezbollah issued a statement refuting the Israeli army's claims that the party violated the ceasefire, and stressed that "the enemy has never committed to any ceasefire agreement since 11-27-2024 through 04-16-2026, up to the outcomes of the recent Iranian-American understanding, which affirmed in its first clause an end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon."
He pointed out that "the Israeli army continued its prolonged violations of the ceasefire, committing massacres, destroying residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, and continued to engage in ground attacks through attempts to penetrate and control villages and areas that it was unable to reach before the agreement."
He added, "Israeli disdain for the ceasefire reached such an extent that the criminal Chief of Staff of the Army, Eyal Zamir, declared two weeks ago that 'there is no ceasefire in Lebanon,' before his army spokesman reiterated yesterday the continued activity of Israeli forces in southern Lebanon."
He pointed out that "as is usual, the enemy, to compensate for his inability to confront the resistance mujahideen, and to cover up his failure and losses on the battlefield, resorts to committing massacres against civilians and targeting safe villages, as happened today in the wake of the mujahideen’s valiant response to his attempt to advance towards Ali Al-Taher Hill last night."
He stressed that the "party" will remain on the lookout for any attack, and its fighters will defend their land and people with courage and in a Karbala-Husseini spirit, and will attack the Israeli army with their arrows, placing dozens of dead and wounded among its officers and soldiers, and devastating casualties on its vehicles, and between us and it are days, nights, and the field.
